These 2 highly textured originals remind me of gold veins flowing through a midnight coloured piece of rock. I recently went down a dark n veeery deep gold mine in Johannesburg, and for the first time in my life I saw the natural gold veins embedded in the rockface of the tunnels. It made me feel in awe of nature, and the time and sheer effort man puts into getting this shiny stuff out of the ground. Details:2x    32cm x 32cm, unframed Acrylic, Crystalline, Pure Pigment & 23ct Gold Leaf on Canvas initially this was made with immitation gold leaf (to get a darker look on the gold) - I have recently decided to put a layer of genuine gold leaf on, as quite frankly, it needs the real deal! - the 23 ct is darker than the more sunny looking 22ct, and it works really nicely now! Diptych which can be hung in such a way that the 2 pieces correspond with each other, or in an alternative, modular arrangement. The edges are painted so that framing is not essential.
